Under the slogan "Towards a Future Based on Quality and Excellence," a free training course on ISO 9001, the international standard for quality management, was launched on May 19, 2025 at the Arab University for Science and Technology. This course comes as part of the university's efforts to promote a culture of quality among its students and reflects its belief in the importance of building strong institutions that promote innovation and sustainability.
The course witnessed a large turnout, with approximately 100 students participating in each of the two training sessions. The first session was from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by the second session from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The course included nine training hours distributed over three sessions, presented by a group of experts in the field of quality management from the House of Expertise Center. This course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and apply ISO 9001 standards in their future organizations.
In his speech during his attendance at part of the first day's activities, the President of the Arab University for Science and Technology, Dr. Adnan Younis, emphasized the importance of this course in enhancing students' skills and enabling them to apply quality standards in their practical lives. He pointed out that "quality is not just a standard, but rather a culture that we must instill in the souls of future generations." The opening was also attended by the University's Vice President, Dr. Mustafa Al-Masry, a number of faculty members, and a group of administrators wishing to benefit from this course.
