Dr. Safouh Al-Sabai, a teaching professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Arab University for Science and Technology, participated in the research and investigation conference in the field of “stimulants.” Hosted by the Saudi capital, Riyadh, represented by the Youth and Sports Affairs Agency, in cooperation with the Saudi Anti-Doping Committee, the conference aims to educate, raise awareness, and conduct research and analysis in this field.
Dr. Al-Sabai spoke about the interest and research efforts of the Arab University for Science and Technology in identifying drugs banned by international agencies and the Olympics, and the importance of studying them among pharmacy students.
The conference was attended by more than 50 participants representing 13 countries across Asia and Oceania, along with experts from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and a number of Interpol officials from Arab and Asian countries.
Holding this conference in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia supports international goals aimed at combating doping. It is also the second experience for the World Anti-Doping Agency and Interpol to hold this program across the continents of Asia and Europe, and it will continue in India and Thailand.
